Blogger wasn't playing ball for me last night, especially when adding photos, so this post is a day later than promised!
Besides mopping and sweeping (during our big paint) we had a couple more household chores that we turned on their heads during our weekend workshop at The Cubby Hole. Ironing and sewing are so much more fun when you are doing them to paper rather than clothes ;), especially when the result is something like this:
little Sue's book
Suzanne's book
Tracey D's book
Nigel's book
Christine's book (unfinished cover)
I didn't get a piccie of Wendy or Carol's books unfortunately.
I mentioned on Sunday that we had journal prompts throughout the weekend, and my favourite was 'create a page with a hole in it'. This is because ALL the designs people came up with were STuNNiNG!
Little Sue's glittery butterflies
Nigel's moth and dragonfly, created by putting some of the 'big paint' paper behind the die cut holes
Suzanne's exquisite peacock, again using 'big paint' paper behind a circular hole; images by Elusive Images
my 'spades' shaped holes in two pages to co-ordinate with the playing cards elsewhere in the book, and again featuring 'big paint' paper
Tracy's fabulous 'weird things' by Stampotique (i'm sure they have an official name but I don't know what it is lol) peeping through a circular hole
It's all go here at 'The Art of Moodling', I've had a workshop to teach this am, the prep to do for Port Sunlight on Saturday as well as finishing my artwork that'll be included in my friend Graham's exhibition. Here he is telling you more about it but for those in the Manchester area, it is being held at The Mustard Tree, 7.30pm on Friday :)
