PDCC#38 - thankyou, thankyou, thankyou

I just want to thank everyone who helped us to exceed 100 players this week - you are absolute stars!  Thank you :)

You've got my choice of colours this week, inspired by strong-coloured summer flowers that really make a statement.

I love lupins, but they just disappear in my garden; I think the slugs come from far and wide to gobble them up!  I wish I could grow them though;  I think it's so fun how raindrops gather in the centre of the leaves, and form mirrors or drinking water for the fairies.

You've got two cards from me this week.  That's because I needed a card for today, and wanted to keep one, and when you're making spray cards like this you might as well do more than one at once.

Both cards are 5" square, with the front edge torn to reveal a sprayed edge inside the card.  I stamped the image with Versamark fine (black) then sprayed ink over the top once it was dry.

Artistic Outpost are generously sponsoring our challenge this week and there's loads of inspiration over at the play date cafe.  I used the Serenity set, but I have to say, it was really hard to choose which stamps I wanted.  There are now lots of 'wants' on my list lol.

  7. Gorgeous Sarah! all of your work is just stunning! You're the kind of crafter I would love to become, but I find myself not even having time to play with it at all! should take a vacation from my normal stuff and just let my imagination go. With the help of YOUR inspirations, though! Thanks for such amazing work! (I may look into that book! Sounds SUPER!) xxD

  9. More stunning work, Sarah. I just adore your style. Both cards are beautiful but if I had to choose it's be the second one, not sure why, it just caught my eye with it's soft colours.
Lupins are beautiful aren't they but I can't grow them either, I think you're right about your slug theory!!

  15. Oh these are lovely Sarah.
    I have lots of lupins.
And so far they are slug free...
But when I lived in Sale, I had no lupins. And LOTS of slugs. Timperley seems to be a slugless paradise!!!
    Strange....
    how are you?

  16. Beautiful cards, Sarah! Love the depth of colour in the sprayed backgrounds - just gorgeous! Here in Maine we have lupines growing wild along the roadways and masses of them in a field across from where I work, but no matter how many times I try growing them in my garden, they never come back after a winter - they are beautiful though.
